Just wanted to give a quick update, I've been so terrible for going AWOL lately.
The wedding is on Saturday, My Aunt from Cornwall, Ontario Arrived yesterday, and My Cousin from Victoria, BC gets in tomorrow.
Things are a wee bit nuts, we bought our new car yesterday, we ended up with a 2008 Mazda 3 GT. It's the best color, in my opinion, Phantom Blue Mica. It's awesome, we've taken everyone for a spin in it already, I'm so glad we were semi prepared to buy a new car, although the timing could have been better lol.
I can imagine that we'll have to replace our second car within a year or so, it's getting up there in age too - 1994 Cavalier.
I'm still reading all of your blogs, I promise, I'm just not commenting all that much right now.

Question: What are the chances that two cars would crap out on the same day?
Answer: 100%
Yesterday on the way to my Mom's house for turkey dinner, Calvin's car started smoking; still not sure what's wrong with it, it's parked for now.
Calvin had to work 2 hours out of town today, so he took my car; 1/2 an hour out of town, he lost all power and heat. Diagnosis: Alternator.
$400 later, my car has a new alternator, and we're shopping for a 2nd vehicle. We didn't really want to buy the new car yet, but I think we should before winter. So, my partner at the bank is trying to work me out a deal with the Mazda dealership; I'll keep you posted.
I also felt kind of uncomfortable today in my new suit. The blazer was fine, but the pants are a bit tight around the waist. I'm thinking of 3 possibilities:
I dunno. lol.
Cheers!

I have no excuse, I've just been paying less attention to blogland and getting more sleep lol. This is a good things post, I'll make is short and sweet:
I'm still in shock about the suit. Granted, all of my size 10 stuff is hanging off of me, but I never would have thought that I could wear a size 8 jacket. The only reason why I took an 8 to the change room and not a 10, was because they didn't have a 10 lol. I'm extremely happy about this; one of my clothing goals was to be an 8 in dress clothes...scratch that, maybe I'll be a 6, I still have some weight to lose :).
Happy Turkey Day!

Well, the title says it, I had a very carb-y day today.
Breakfast: Oatmeal
Lunch: Potato Soup, 3 saltines
Snack: Banana bread
Supper: Beef Stew, 1/3 cup mashed taters, 1/2 a bun
Jaysus! I really didn't mean for it to be like that lol, it just happened.
We had our work weigh in today, I was down another pound from last week; 10 pounds in total, or 6.5%. Our final weigh in is next Friday the 5th....can't wait!
I'm on the Christmas Party committee at work and I've been slated to make a website for the big event, somewhere that everyone can RSVP and tell us about their drink preferences. I did this for our wedding, but I'm not too sure of a way that I could do something similar for this, any ideas?

Wow, finally! TOM is on his way out, so that helps for this weeks weigh in. That brings me to 143.8, only 3.8 to go for my wedding goal; I think I can make it, if I put my mind to it..
I can't wait for this competition at work to be over; when we started, I thought it would be a fun, lighthearted kind of thing, but it didn't turn out that way. Next time the other two want to have another competition, I'll be proud to say "no, that's okay, I actually don't have any weight to lose."
Haha....don't dish it if ya can't take it :).
On another note, I really need to step it up in the exercise department. I worked out twice earlier in the week and haven't done a thing since. I'm thinking I'll probably do my weights video, and possibly some floor washing, that should definitely break a sweat.
